Kathleen Liu, MD, PhD, MAS San Francisco, CA USA Kathleen D. Liu, MD, PhD, MAS is a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Anesthesia, Divisions of Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Liu graduated from the University of California, San Francisco and trained as a resident at the Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. She trained in nephrology and critical care at the University of California, San Francisco. She is board-certified in both nephrology and critical care. Her research interests include biomarkers of kidney disease, acute kidney injury and acute lung injury.
