This workshop will offer the participants the opportunity to learn about Gambro's Prismaflex¨ System and will include a combination of lecture and hands-on use of the Prismaflex System, hemofilter sets as well as PrismaSATE¨ dialysate and PrismaSOL¨ replacement solution. Review the physician's order set, prescription decisions regarding hemofilter selection, anticoagulation approaches, solution choices and preferred patient/system management. The session will provide you with the skills to optimally manage the CRRT patient treated with Gambro's Prismaflex System.

This workshop offers an introduction to CRRT techniques and is developed to provide a core set of information on the principles and practice of CRRT. This workshop will cover the components and basic principles of continuous renal replacement therapy. The operating characteristics of CRRT techniques for solute and fluid management, drug management will be discussed along with the potential applications of these techniques. Requirements for developing a successful CRRT program and selecting machines will also be described.
